Summerrrr time!

Summer is keeping me occupied but not in the ways I would have hoped for.. I'm working a lot and trying in vain to find the time to balance everything I am doing with time to learn the skills I require! On the plus side however, I am at least still drawing (something?)

More desperate attempts at finding out how I want to express myself and what I want to draw from my observations... My tendency to fuss over needless details and to 'copy' from reality is not lessening with the haste I would like! and I still don't know where I want to go, stylistically or otherwise... :S the path to self betterment is a steep, almost vertical climb. When I learn to dispel some negativity I may relax more... possibly ;D Meanwhile, I will have the Olympics to keep me excited and inspired; so. much. talent and skill.

Anyways, a mix of observational with some improvised character stuff (which needs genuine research!). I am no natural character designer! ...meh, 'if you judge a fish by its' ability to climb a tree it will spend its' life believing it is stupid' <a nice bit of Einstein to dry the dampness of pessimism! Also, the two bird studies are from taxidermy birds, not from LIFE!

Maya Madness

Just a little update on some of my 3D Maya Modelling work from the past term and beyond! the Locomotive train isn't finished yet and most of it came from a modelling tutorial book, but it has been so helpful making it in terms of coming to understand tools, I decided to show it! I can see myself going down this route more so than anything concept art design related, I try but I'm not cut out for it! :/ Usual observational stuff below as well as some made up designs, trying in vain to play around with style, I am incredibly lacking!

Also I can't stop listening to Yann Tiersen recently... even despite how depressed it seems to be making me! Beauuuutiful music.

Usual Crud

Just the usual observational stuff... still trying out some stylistic stuff, I think I would benefit from some more artist studies, it's a double edged sword being around so many talented people right now; motivation and inspiration parallel a lack of confidence! :/ it can only get better right? Anyways, bottom right was a gesture drawing, and top right and bottom centre were made up, rest is observational stufffff.
